    • What sets Yaasa Desks apart from other manufacturers’ desks?

Yaasa Desks are created entirely by Yaasa – from the initial idea, concept, and design to their manufacture, which takes place in collaboration with trusted production partners in Europe. Our Yaasa Desk is not a resale product, something that is apparent in every aspect of the product.

During product development for our desks, we focus exclusively on your personal comfort. So we believe it to be just as important that the entire process – from ordering to assembly to use – is as pleasant as possible for you.

Setup is very simple and can be done easily within a short amount of time, without any special expertise.

While other companies’ desks can feel like sterile office furniture, we believe furniture should be not only practical and comfortable, but also design-friendly. That’s why we focused on creating a modern, minimalist design that blends seamlessly into office and living spaces.

    • Where are Yaasa Desks made?

The design and concepts for Yaasa Desks come from our team. They are then implemented and manufactured in collaboration with our European production partners. Together, we create products that combine modern design with innovation and functionality. Our goal is to improve your life in a lasting way. High quality is therefore a standard with Yassa.

    • Are Yaasa Desks fairly produced?

Yes. We are conscious of our responsibility as a company. As a result, we always consider the production and working conditions at various companies when choosing our production partners.

    • Can other components be added to the desk?

Yes, the Yaasa Cable Management system was designed to complement the desk. Details about the Yaasa Cable Management can be found here. Our Product Development department is also hard at work creating new features and accessories for the desk.

    16. How do I set up the Yaasa Chair?
    • Who can fit in the Yaasa Chair?

With a minimum seat height of 44 cm and a maximum height of 56 cm, the office chair works for people of almost any height.

However, it is hard to make general statements based on height, since ergonomic seating depends on more factors than just height.

If you are unsure about the height of the chair, please contact our Support team at any time. We are happy to help.

    • How do I sit ergonomically on the Yaasa Chair?

The Yaasa Chair offers the best conditions for ergonomic seating. To make sure your posture is truly ergonomically correct, you will need to calibrate it for your body the first time you use the chair.

      1. Seat height: Start with the seat height. Sit up straight in the chair. Make sure your feet are touching the floor. Set the seat height so that your thighs form a nearly 90° angle with your knees. Your pelvis should be a bit higher than your knees, with your thighs forming a slight downward line. This posture will keep your pelvis from tilting backward, giving your spine plenty of freedom of motion.
      2. Seat depth: You can determine the right seat depth using your thighs. Sit up straight and lean your lower back against the back rest. In this position, there should be a gap of about a hand’s width between the back of your knee and the front edge of the seat. Adjust the seat depth with your personal comfort in mind, but make sure there is plenty of room for your legs and behind your knees.
      3. Armrests: The position of the armrests is determined by the length of your upper arms. Place your upper arms on the armrests and adjust the height so that your upper arms form at least a 90° angle with your lower arms. Make sure the armrests are not set too high. Otherwise, your shoulders will be pushed upward, which can cause tension. If they are too low, you will lose the positive effect of taking weight off your shoulders. Here, too, consider your personal comfort.
      4. Backrest: Fundamentally, the backrest should be set so that it provides comfortable support when you are sitting up straight in the chair. However, that does not mean it can’t move when you lean on it. What’s important here is your comfort. In general, you should not be afraid to move around during your day-to-day work – and that includes leaning your upper body forward and back.
      5. Lumbar support: Adjust the lumbar support so that it sits approximately at your waist. That way, the support will follow the natural curve of your spine and help relax your muscles.
      6. Backrest resistance: Finally, set the resistance for your backrest. Whether you need more or less resistance depends partly on how much you weigh. Your personal comfort also plays a role here. You should not feel like you’re tipping backward, but it should also not be an effort to lean back.

After a while, you may find that you want to readjust your chosen chair settings. That is not unusual, because sitting for a long time puts significant strain on your body. Make sure to take plenty of breaks from sitting so you can stand up or move around a bit.

Take a look at our FAQs for the desks, too!

    • How can I adjust the settings properly on my Yaasa Chair?

Follow the Yaasa Chair setup instructions.

    • What are synchronous mechanics and anti-shock locking?

      Synchronous mechanics

Synchronous mechanics promote ergonomic sitting. They connect the angle of the backrest to the angle of the seat. When you lean back, it doesn’t just change the position of the backrest – it also tilts the seat back slightly. That provides optimal support for your pelvis in every position. The mechanics encourage you to switch between different sitting positions. That relaxes your muscles, relieves the pressure on your spinal discs, and improves your circulation.

      Anti-shock locking

The anti-shock locking mechanism keeps the backrest from accidentally shooting forward when you undo the lock. That prevents the backrest from slamming into your back. To undo the mechanism, lean back against the backrest and ease it out slowly.

    • How far does the chair tilt back?

      45°

    • Is the seat adjustable?

Yes, the chair has a seat-sliding function that allows for a 5-cm adjustment.

    • What sets the Yaasa Chair apart from other manufacturers’ office chairs?

Our range of chairs focuses exclusively on your personal comfort. So we believe it to be just as important that the entire process – from setup to operation – is as pleasant as possible for you.

      • The chairs are delivered pre-assembled, so they are very easy to set up. You can easily put them together by yourself in just a few minutes.
      • The design of the Yaasa Chair is both classic and modern. In choosing the materials, we made sure the chairs perfectly complemented the Yaasa Desks. However, thanks to their clean design, the Yaasa Chairs also look great with other desks.
      • Ergonomics is an important priority for the Yaasa Chair. You can adjust the chair to your body’s specific needs.
    • Where is the Yaasa Chair manufactured?

The Yaasa Chair is produced by a well-known manufacturer in Taiwan.

    • Is the Yaasa Chair tested for safety, durability and stability?

Yes, the Yaasa Chair has been tested for office use, and it meets the standards for safety, durability and stability as per DIN EN 1335-2 and ANSI/BIFMA x5.1.

    • What type of flooring is recommended for the YAASA Chair?

The wheels on the YAASA Chair are mainly designed for carpeted floors. The office chair can be used on hard floor surfaces, however, the hard, sturdy wheels allow for better movement on carpeted flooring. Some customers, ourselves included, use the office chair on laminated and parquet flooring. Currently, we do not offer wheels as additional accessory items.

    • What materials are used in the Yaasa Chair?

The frame is made of plastic, and the seat is 3D molded foam (polyurethane foam). The seat cover is 100% polyester, and the backrest is 34% polyester, 58% polyamide, and 8% polyacrylic. The 4D armrests are made of plastic with a polyurethane finish. The base is polished aluminum or plastic. The chair has hard rollers made of polyurethane (suitable for carpets).

    • What is the minimum and maximum seat height for the office chair?

The minimum seat height is 44 cm, and the maximum height is 56 cm.

    • What is the weight limit for the office chair?

The weight limit for the chair is 130 kg.

    • Does it come in different sizes?

    • How is the Yaasa Chair delivered?

The pre-assembled office chair is delivered to your doorstep in a cardboard box.

The instructions provided in the package give you a step-by-step explanation of how to set up the chair.

    • How do I set up the Yaasa Chair?

    • What are the benefits of a height-adjustable desk?

More and more people spend most of their time sitting down – a trend that is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future, given the progress of digitization. At the same time, the effects of too much sitting are well known: tension, pain, lethargy, even herniated disks – the list goes on and on. While ergonomics are becoming increasingly important, and now form the basis of almost every workstation, the underlying problem is rarely addressed.

A sit-stand desk gives you the flexibility you need to get through your day-to-day work while staying healthy and in shape. You can switch between a sitting and standing position as often as you like and adjust the height to your specific needs each time taking pressure off your spine and giving various muscle groups time to recover and relax. Sit-stand desks can reduce or even completely prevent the many negative health-related, mental and physical effects of excess sitting.

The flexibility offered by electrically adjustable desks also makes them perfect shared desks. No matter the height of the employees using the desk, it can be adjusted to the correct ergonomic height at the touch of a button, within seconds.

    • Who can use the desk?

With a minimum height of 62 cm and a maximum height of 128 cm, the Yaasa Desk Pro II meets the ergonomic standards as per DIN EN 527 and therefore works very well for most people.

However, it is hard to make general statements based on height, since ergonomic posture depends on more factors than just height.

    • Is the desk also suitable for children?

The desk can be used by children age 8 and up as long as they are supervised or if you have instructed them on the safe use of the device and they understand the associated risks.

Children under the age of 8 should be kept away from electrically adjustable desks, their controls and keypads. To keep children from operating the desk, you can enable the safety function. To do this, swipe your palm from left to right across the control element. To deactivate the safety function, simply swipe your palm again from left to right across the control element. The display must be on in order for you to activate the keypad lock. To wake up an inactive display, press any key. Once you have activated the keypad lock, a key will appear on the screen.

    • Can I lock the desk using a keypad lock?

Yes, the keypad lock can be activated and deactivated by swiping across the lower edge of the control element. Alternatively, you can also swipe horizontally across the left or right side of the control element. To wake up an inactive display, press any key. Once you have activated the keypad lock, a key will appear on the screen.

    • What is the correct ergonomic way to sit and stand at a height-adjustable desk?

You can find the correct height with a simple rule of thumb: lay your forearm flat on the desk and adjust the height so your forearm and upper arm form a 90° angle. Your thighs should also form a 90° angle with your calves. Make sure your feet are resting flat on the floor, your arms are relaxed on the desktop, and your shoulders are loose. The same applies for standing: make sure your forearms and upper arms form a 90° angle when you are standing up straight.

    • Where is the desk made?

Our designs and concepts come exclusively from the Yaasa team. The desks are actualized and manufactured in collaboration with our production partners in Europe.

    • What are the exact dimensions of the desk?

The exact demensions can be found here.

    • Do all three desktop sizes use the same base frame?

The base frame is adjustable and can be easily adapted to the three desktop sizes (S, M and L). The white desk frame is for the light-colored desktops, and the black frame is for the dark desktop.

    • What is the minimum and maximum height for the desk?

The lowest desk position is 62 cm and its tallest position is 128 cm.

    • Is the desk stable in every position?

In general, the tallest position for height-adjustable desks causes a shift in stability. That is because the statics change along with the height. But we can guarantee you that the Yaasa Desk Pro II was designed to be extremely stable in every height position.

    • What do I do if the Yaasa Desk Pro II feels unstable?

First, make sure all the screws are fully tightened. Then check whether the leveling pins on the desk feet are adjusted correctly, and make sure they are touching the ground.

In our experience, desks feel unstable if your monitor wobbles when you work. But that is usually due to the screen itself. Try a monitor with a good, stable base to keep movements from being transmitted.

    • What materials is the desk made from?

The desktop consists of 1.8-cm thick melamine-coated Eurodekor particle board. The foot stabilizers are made from aluminum, and the desk frame is steel.

    • Is there any more information regarding the colours the products come in?

Yes. the table frame and the edge of the tabletop of the Yaasa Desk Pro II in White and Light Acacia come in a colour called “Signal White”, with the following colour code: RAL9003. The NCS code is NCS-S 0500-N SMO.

The tabletop of the Yaasa Desk Pro II in White has a darker white hue: RAL7047. The colour was chosen deliberately as an off-white is gentler on the eyes than a pure white colour.

The desk frame as well as the edge of the tabletop of the Yassa Desk Pro II in Oak Truffle come in the colour shade: Pantone 3 U 2x. The NCS code is NCS-S 8500-N SMO.

Exact specifications regarding the Light Acacia and Oak Truffle colours are not available as the colours cannot be described using universal colour codes.

    • How fast does the desk move up and down?

You can move the desk 38.5 mm up or down per second.

    • How loud is the electric motor when the desk is moving up or down?

The desk makes very little noise when it moves up and down.

    • What kind of technology is used for the display on the control element?

The display, which we source from a well-known Austrian manufacturer, uses touch technology. The entire display area is float-mounted and you press down on 2 haptic switches underneath it, which provides a better feel than a pure touch film.

    • Why doesn’t the control element have a touch film?

The display, which we source from a well-known Austrian manufacturer, uses touch technology. The entire display area is float-mounted and you press down on 2 haptic switches underneath it, which provides a better feel than a pure touch film.

    • How does the memory function work?

You can use the memory function to save two different desk heights, making it easy to switch back and forth between your personal settings.

How to save a desk height:

      1. Move the desktop using the arrows on the manual switch (see display)
      2. Press the «Save» memory key.
      3. The display will show «S –».
      4. Press the desired memory position key, e.g. «2».
      5. The display will show «S 2».

How to go to the saved memory positions:

To go to a saved desk height, press the desired memory position key (e.g. 2) until you reach the saved desk height. If you release the key before the desk reaches its saved height, the desktop will stop moving and will not reach the saved desk height.

    • Does the desk have a collision sensor system?

Yes. The Intelligent System Protection (ISP) feature is the anti-collision sensor for the integrated drive system. If there is an obstacle in a desk’s work area and the obstacle and the desk collide, the load change affects the drive components. When the system registers the load change, all of the gears stop immediately and move in the opposite direction for a few seconds.

    • Can other components be added to the desk?

Yes, the Yaasa Cable Management system was designed to complement the desk. Details about the Yaasa Cable Management can be found here.

Our Product Development department is also hard at work creating new features and accessories for the desk.

    • Is it possible to order the desk with a cable feedthrough?

Unfortunately we cannot offer customized designs. We also do not recommend modifying, expanding or rebuilding the desk; this may invalidate your warranty.

    • What should I do if the desk won’t go up or down when I press the manual switch?

First, check the connection between the desk and the electrical outlet.

Please note that the desk cannot be operated for more than 2 minutes at a time without an 18-minute resting period. Also note that the maximum load is 80 kg.

If the desk still does not move, please consult our troubleshooting guide to solve the problem, or contact Yaasa’s customer service.

    • What should I do if the desk is not working and there are problems or errors?

In the event of problems or error messages, you can check the troubleshooting guide for advice. If you have any other questions, please contact Yaasa Support directly. We will help you fix the error and take any necessary measures.

    • How is the desk delivered?

The pre-assembled desk is delivered to your doorstep in two cardboard boxes. The large package contains the desktop and the decorative inlays for the feet. The small package contains the desk frame along with the legs, the feet and the leveling slider, the side profiles, the plastic covers for the side profiles, the pre-wired manual switch, the power supply, the power cord, the cover plate for the power supply, the set of screws and attachment clips, as well as the appropriate tool and a cable fastener. • How do I set up the desk?

Setting up the desk only takes a couple of minutes. It is easy to do, without any special expertise.

First, attach each desk leg to the main frame of the desk base with a twisting motion. Insert the side bars into the left and right sides of the main frame, and attach each one with 2 main connector screws and the provided tool. Tighten all 8 of the main connector screws (4 screws have already been screwed in) and attach the feet using the 4 tapered screws. Carefully lift the desk frame onto the desktop and attach the frame with a screw in the center.

Extend the desk frame and position it over the appropriate holes in the desktop.

Secure the frame in place using the 8 plastic clips in the middle. Insert 2 screws into each side profile to fasten the frame to the desktop, and tighten them. Take the power supply and position it on the provided Velcro fastener, then screw the power cable onto the board using the provided plastic element. Now click the cover panel into the middle of the desk frame, attach the 4 plastic covers to the side profiles, and turn the desk around.

Finally, feed the control element through the desktop from underneath; press it firmly into the cutout from above, stash the control element cable inside the cutout in the side profile, adjust the leveling feet on the floor, and plug in the power cable. And voila: your setup is finished!

You can find a video demonstrating the setup here.

    13. Can I install and remove the Cable Management product multiple times without damaging the material?
    • What is the Yaasa Cable Management product, and does it come with the desks?

The Yaasa Cable Management product is a cable tray made of durable felt to help organize the area around and under your desk with maximum flexibility. The cable channel’s volume and position can be adapted at any time according to your needs. The volume settings and installation positions can be adjusted easily without taking out the cables, chargers or power strips. Depending on the volume setting, the Cable Management product gives you 9 to 15 liters of storage volume. That’s enough for one large power strip, several power supplies for your office equipment, LAN cables, and excess cables from other peripheral devices.

The Yaasa Cable Management can be purchased separately from the Yaasa Desks and is delivered separately.

    • What sets the Yaasa Cable Management apart from other manufacturers’ cable channels?

The Yaasa Cable Management is created entirely by Yaasa – from the initial idea, concept, and design to its manufacture, which takes place in collaboration with trusted production partners in Europe. Our Yaasa Cable Management is not a resale product, something that is apparent in every aspect of the product.

      • The Cable Management is delivered to you in a compact box.
      • The Cable Management can be installed onto one of the Yaasa Desks in just a few steps. The Yaasa Desk Pro II comes with pre-drilled holes on the underside of the desk, so the cable channel can be screwed in without any additional drilling.
      • Our other desks, the Yaasa Desk Light and Yaasa Desk Pro I, can also be retrofitted with the Yaasa Cable Management – no special expertise required. With the included drilling template and screws, you can attach your cable channel quickly and easily by following a few steps.
      • The Cable Management features Yaasa’s clean, modern design and is a perfect complement to your Yaasa-equipped workstation.
      • In contrast to metal or similar materials, the Yaasa cable channel is made from felt for maximum flexibility, which also helps create a homey look.
      • While other companies’ cable channels can feel like sterile office-furniture solutions, we believe cable channels should be not just practical, but also design-friendly. That’s why we focused on a modern, minimalist design when we created the Yaasa Cable Management, one that would blend seamlessly into office and living spaces. The cable mounting system’s special design means that the cables for electronics on your desk can be stored invisibly underneath the desk, inside the Cable Management unit.
    • Why do I need Cable Management?

The Cable Management system especially makes sense for sit-stand desks. The cable channel doesn’t just organize the area around and under your desk – it also prevents unnecessary dust buildup on sensitive electric cables. The flexible Cable Management unit also ensures that individual devices can be quickly and easily unplugged and added. This is often not the case for desks without a cable channel, because the cables under the desk quickly become tangled.

    • Can I use the Yaasa Desk without the Cable Management?

Of course you can also use a Yaasa Desk without the Cable Management unit. However, if you have electronic devices on your desk that require a power supply, you will end up with a lot of cables around or under the desk, so the cable tray is a great help. The cable tray allows you to store all of your cables, chargers and power strips, which helps organize the area and prevents tripping hazards.

    • Where is the Yaasa Cable Management made?

The design and concept for Yaasa Cable Management came from our team. A trusted European production partner handles manufacturing of the multi-functional and flexible felt cable channel for us. The Production department pays close attention to every detail, because high quality is standard for Yaasa.

    • Is the Yaasa Cable Management fairly produced?

Yes. We are conscious of our responsibility as a company. As a result, we always consider the production and working conditions at various companies when choosing our production partners.

    • Can I combine a previously purchased Yaasa Desk with the Yaasa Cable Management product?

Yes, any desks previously purchased from Yaasa can be complemented with the Yaasa Cable Management. Assembly instructions, a drilling template, and additional screws for previously purchased desks always come with the Yaasa Cable Management. You can also download the instructions online.

    • Which desk sizes work with the Cable Management unit?

The Yaasa Cable Management is compatible with all Yaasa Desk models and sizes.

    • How heavy is the Cable Management system, including the mounting bracket?

The Cable Management weighs about 550 g with the mounting bracket.

    • What is the maximum load capacity of the Yaasa Cable Management?

The maximum load capacity of the Yaasa Cable Management is 8 kg.

    • What materials are used in the Cable Management product?

The Cable Management product consists of a 100% polyester (PET) felt cable channel and 2 sets of 3 ABS plastic components for installation and operation. Standard metal screws are included for attaching it to the desk.

    • How do I install the cable channel?

The cable channel can be installed in just a few minutes, without any specialized knowledge. Step-by-step instructions can be found here, and a video showing the installation process can be found here.

Here are a few more tips from us:

      1. Before you start with the installation, make sure all devices on your desk are turned off and have been unplugged.
      2. Move your Yaasa Desk to the tallest position in order to mount the cable channel and to make sure the cables are long enough. That way the cables will have plenty of play when you move the desk to any height setting.
      3. Tie up any excess cable lengths using a flexible cable tie, like a twist tie or a Velcro cable tie. That will not only keep your cable channel organized, but will also keep the stored cables from getting twisted together or crimped unnecessarily.
      4. Use extension cords with sufficiently long cables – this will give you more flexibility of use.
      5. Plug your Yaasa Desk directly into a multi-socket adaptor in the Cable Management unit.
      6. Any thick, rigid cables should be fed out from the side of the Cable Management unit.
      7. Use the volume setting and position adjustment to adjust the Yaasa Cable Management to your specific preferences.

    • What are the advantages of a height-adjustable table?

More and more people are spending the majority of their daily lives seated at a desk.
This trend is not likely to fade in the foreseeable future due to the advancing of
digitalisation. The consequences of excessive sitting are far too well known:
increased tension, pain, sluggishness and it could even lead to herniated discs. The
list of risks is endless. Ergonomics is becoming increasingly important and is being
integrated into almost all workplaces. However, only a few companies go the extra
mile to tackle the actual problem at hand.

The sit-stand desk gives you the flexibility needed to get through the day. You can
switch between being seated or taking on a standing position quickly and effortlessly,
adjusting the height to your exact requirements. This takes pressure off the spine
and gives various muscle groups time to relax and recover. Thus, the
height-adjustable desks minimise, and can even prevent, many negative health,
psychological and physical consequences of being seated for an extended period of
      time.

The flexibility of the electric sit-stand desks makes them the perfect desk-sharing
option because the table can be adapted to the individual employee’s body height
with the push of a button.

    • Is the YAASA Desk Basic suitable for all body heights?

A minimum height of 70.5 cm and a maximum height of 119 cm makes the desk

However, it is difficult to make general statements regarding body height as
ergonomic postures are dependent on several other factors besides height.

    • Is the desk suitable for children?

The desk can be used by children from the age of 8 when they are being supervised
or have been instructed on how to use the desk safely and are aware of the possible
      hazards.

Children under the age of 8 should be kept away from electric height-adjustable
desks, the control units and the keypads.

    • Which is the correct ergonomic sitting and standing position for height-adjustable tables?

The correct height setting can be found by following a simple rule of thumb: Place your forearm on the tabletop and adjust the height so that the forearm is at a 90° angle. The thighs should also form a 90° angle to the lower legs. Ensure that your feet are in full contact with the floor, the shoulders are relaxed and the arms are in a relaxed position on the surface of the desk. The same rules apply when in a standing position: Ensure that the forearms are at 90° angle to the upper arms when standing upright.
